Emily Dickinson was an American poet who became an ecumenical one without leaving her room in the small town of Amherst, Massachusetts, U.S.A. Her first known poem dates back to 1850, written in her twenties. She gained fame without even publishing a book, during her life. She influenced the American poetry of the 20th century and became one of America’s most important creators.
The text of the performance is composed of several publications concerning Emily Dickinson along with a poem by another great poet Marina Tsvetaeva.
Emily Dickinson’s performance is accompanied with Neil Young’s and Nick Dvake’s songs as well as a photo album created by Arseni Miari (based on Emily Dickinson’s work).
