Our Final Event for the 2 year Erasmus+ project: Islanders – Many Islands -One community Traces.Dreams was a very moving one yesterday 25/11/24, with all partners being satisfied of our exchange of ideas and work with the young.I express my special thanks to Dimitris Kambanos and Dive In Action organisation for his thorough presentation on their work in Santorini for protecting the sea environment, Carolina Rikaki from Santorini, Kostas Platis from Sikinos Union, an islander who cares for flora and fauna and cultural heritage, Σοφία Χανιώτη from 4env organisation a proponent of environmental education on Myconos island!
As the project manager of #kimolistes , I am happy for the feedback I got and the opportunities I discovered while working with the young on Kimolos and Milos islands. I thank you all for your help, encouragement and participation.
Special thanks to youngs’ parents Maria Karandinaki, Σμαραγδα Βαρβερη, Peggy Iliopoulou, and Christos Gallis for his support to the Erasmus + project, as well as to Κατερίνα Παλούκου for hosting the partners in september 2023, her husband KostasVentouris, and the Kimolistes members Beba Sardi and Marinakis Fotis for their encouragement and useful advice regarding the project.
A heartfelt thank you, to my best friend Igor Psaphi who created a unique painting with the young, Uncle Giorgakis a true Kimolian, my helper in knowing the island being my private driver, Nikos Ventouris and his father, Katerina Mastradonaki, for her traditional dishes Κατερίνα Βασιλουδη , Zefi Logotheti and every islander on Kimolos who contributed to the realisation of this project.
