Kimolos Paths
Until today, one can hike on a series of paths of shorter or longer length and difficulty. Their crossing is possible throughout the year, but preferable seasons are spring due to the “explosion” of nature and autumn, when the high summer temperatures are absent, while the sea “dresses” the magic of calm, free from the summer winds known as “meltemia”.
With a willingness to help the island, a handful of people began in 2011 to offer simple but very useful volunteer work for the island. The cleaning of the beaches and the efforts to take care of the common areas of the Chorio (village), were our first actions.
The stimulus for bigger steps and expansion of our activities was given by the visit of EPOS Fili (Hellenic Cultural Mountaineering Club) to Kimolos, the summer of 2013, to clear and mark certain traditional paths.
